Kidnapped Police DPO Regains Freedom in Delta.
The kidnapped Divisional Police Officer attached to Abavo police station in Ika South Local Government area of Delta State has regained his freedom.
The senior police officer was said to have been abducted while on his way from a social outing along Agbor Abraka express road.
Hawknews.org gathered that the DPO who was driving in mufti was attacked at a failed portion of the road few meters away from his office and close to a police check point.
Source told Hawknews.org that the family members the police officer were forced to cough out N15 million ransom to secure his release from the captivity of his captors who had demanded for ransom.
Hawknews.org gathered that the DPO had spent bearly two weeks on his new posting when the sad incident occurred.
This is coming as there has been a wave of criminal activities, especially kidnapping in and around the communities in Ika Nation.
On the day the DPO was kidnapped, a middle aged man who was said to have returned from Europe was forecfully abducted from his house along side four other persons for ransom.
A traditional ruler in one of the communities, His Majesty Obi Dr EO Efeizomor 11, the Obi of Owa had raised the alarm on the activities of kidnappers in the localities.
The monarch while addressing his subjects urges them to be security conscious and to report any suspicious character or movement to the law enforcement agents for investigation.
He urged his people to be very careful during this yuletide season as men of the underworld might use it to perpetuate evil acts.
